Rosetta Stone Studio is searching for Irish native speakers to facilitate a series of energetic language classes for beginner to advanced students. Manager, Security Technical Systems and Operations | Security
 
The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Manager, Security
Technical Systems and Operations to join its Department of Security. This position
reports to the Director of Security. Please see responsibilities and requirements below.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, administers and executes policies and procedures related to Security and fire-
life-safety system operations and maintenance. Plans and provides recommendations on
the design and installation of multilayered Security and fire-life-safety systems. Provides
immediate supervision and oversight of Control Room Operators and Supervisors who
perform moderate to complex tasks related to the security technical systems at the
MoMA Midtown and MoMA Queens locations. Supervises and manages field operations
in conjunction with and in the absence of Operational Managers. Determines security
requirements for new construction and special exhibitions projects regarding access control,
CCTV, intrusion alarms and other security as needed. Manages security integrator/vendor
and Fire-Life-Safety vendor in the capacity of 1) Reviewing contract proposals and pricing
for completeness for new installations 2) Negotiating maintenance contracts for both
security and Fire-Life-Safety systems 3) Ensuring contractor compliance with annual system
maintenance agreement 4) Managing work service orders and the contract technician
through quality control and review of completed repairs and new installations. Coordinates
all activities of the contract integrator or vendor with other internal Museum departments,
such as IT, Exhibitions and Facilities. Maintains inventory control of all related security
and fire-life-safety devices. Participates in the development of annual budgets for areas
of responsibility. Ensures system testing, inspection and personnel training compliance as
it relates to state and city laws and regulations. Participates in the hiring, training, and
management of staff assigned to the Control Room and Fire Command Center. Reviews
the performance of staff and provides feedback regarding career and growth opportunities.
Supports Security Operations Managers as needed for operational coverage.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 years’ experience in the following: security technical, fire-life safety system and
managerial experience; assessing security system measures needed to address and identify
security risks and needs; database management and technical repair.
Project Management experience and a thorough understanding of current security
technologies and devices, including access control, alarms and video surveillance
and recording. Fire Safety Director and/or Emergency Action Plan certified. Good
communication skills and ability to write and prepare reports and make presentations for
proposed projects. Ability to handle multiple and complex tasks simultaneously. Experience
in cultural institutions or organizations requiring a high level of security preferred. If hired,
individual must successfully complete a security threat assessment through the Department
of Homeland Security.

CIIC seeks National Coordinator

The Coalition of Irish Immigration Centers (CIIC) is a national umbrella group for all of the Irish Immigration Centers in the US. It was established in 1996 to promote the welfare of Irish immigrants in the US at a national level. 

The CIIC is seeking a National Coordinator to administer the day-to-day operations of the Coalition consistent with our mission and values.

The Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to act as the primary contact for the Coalition, help members share relevant information, coordinate annual and member meetings, and assist with marketing, strategic planning and fundraising as directed by the regionally diverse Board of Directors.


This administrative position is considered part-time @ 20 hours per week with some flexibility required based on work volume and coordination of events, board meetings and trainings. Position location flexible within the US. Some travel within the US may be required.

Remuneration will be competitive relevant to the successful candidate's experience and in keeping with current non-profit standards.
