PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS

A Message From Attracta Lyndon,
IBO President, 2006

As we stand on the threshold of a new year and a new Executive Board, I want to thank you for your support and for the trust that you have placed in me by electing me to be your President.

I promise to do my utmost to bring us all working together in a dynamic and thriving organization, and to ensure that the IBO reaches its full potential.

I should like to encourage all IBO members, past and present, to attend the first meeting of 2006 on January 11th at the Midtown Executive Club, 40 West 45th Street, so we can discuss together the hopes and expectations of the IBO membership. I know we have tremendous talent within our membership and your input is very important. This will be an exciting year so please be a part of it! The January meeting will be dedicated to getting feedback and suggestions from you.

Also, the next IBO Breakfast Meeting will be held on January 17th at 8am at Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel, located at 141 East 44th Street. It will be hosted by Niall O'Leary and a Traditional Irish Breakfast will be served at a cost of only $15 per person. The IBO is looking to enhance the breakfast meetings for the benefit of the membership, so please attend this special breakfast event and give us your feedback. Please RSVP to Clare at clareb@ibo-ny.com.

We are excited to announce that Bill Cullen, author of It’s a Long Way From Penny Apples and Golden Apples: Six Simple Steps to Success will be our Guest Speaker at the February Meeting being held on February 8th.

On February 22nd, the IBO will host a special luncheon at the Manhattan Club.

Mark FitzGerald, Chief Executive Officer of The Sherry FitzGerald Group, the largest real estate firm in Ireland, will be the featured speaker at this unique event. Mark is also the son of Former Taoiseach of Ireland, Dr. Garret FitzGerald.

Our outgoing Executive Committee has put in a lot of hard work this year, and I would like to make a point of thanking them for all that they have accomplished, especially the outgoing members Pat Sheridan, Simon Pereira Shorey and John Guerrera. I look forward to working closely in 2006 with the IBO membership in general and with and our Executive Committee for 2006, Steve Collins, Garret Corcoran and Jim Hinckley.

Wishing you and your families a very happy, healthy and a prosperous New Year!

Attracta Lyndon

President,

Irish Business Organization of New York, Inc.
