The Irish Business Organization of New York:

Happy Spring to you all. We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with pride as we marched up Fifth Avenue. All Board members were present and Frank Bergin did a stellar job leading us. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day to be Irish, as is every day ! About 30 of us gathered behind our banner. Darryl Lafferty held the Stars and Stripes and Tom Ward carried the Tri Color.

I had the pleasure of attending the Governor's breakfast at The Waldorf earlier that morning as representative of The IBO - NY. No Governor present however. It was an excellent chance to network and I was even able to recruit one new member.

After the breakfast Attracta Lyndon and myself headed over to Adrian Flannelly's radio show where we both did a live interview and were given an opportunity to give The IBO- NY history and plug our upcoming events. This was great exposure for our organization. Speaking of our upcoming events we have planned an excellent evening of Comedy at O'Lunney's for April 9th. Our entertainers are Fiona Walsh and Moody McCarthy. Admission is FREE to paid up IBO-NY members and $25 for others. A buffet dinner is included and it's a cash bar. Please RSVP to info@ibo-ny.com.

In May we are looking into hosting a Floating Business Break / Cruise around Manhattan. Details will be forthcoming.

The June Annual Golf Outing is in the early planning stages.

We are delighted to announce that we have hired a new Administrator for The IBO - NY. Please join me in welcoming Maureen Sullivan. Maureen has an extensive marketing background and will be a great asset to us. She has many connections too in the New York Irish community.

We've had many renewals both on the corporate and individual level. Three recent new members are: Maura Whelan, John Grogan of Inventive Media and Joseph Mulvehill, MD. We welcome them to our organization.
